Film synopsis: 

A Filipino filmmaker travels to Yokohama to trace the steps of Mariano Ponce, his hometown’s revered but relatively unknown hero. Ponce was once sent as an envoy to Japan (1898-1901) to garner support for the Philippine independence. The filmmaker's exploration, backed up by a sustained curiosity, leads him to search for traces of Philippine history in Yokohama. He travels and meets people in Japan, and in the process unearths evidences that reveal interconnected stories. No longer a search for a hero, the personal journey becomes social, bringing a perspective unfamiliar to all.
